MEDALS/AWARDS/DISCS

There is a provision to honour any permanent personnel or volunteer in the Civil Defence Department and Fire Services individually or collectively for specific good work, work of outstanding nature, bravery, devotion to duty etc. in various forms as per following details:-

President Medals:- There are three medals given by the president which are as follows:-

        i) President's Civil Defence Service Medal for Gallantry.

        i) President's Civil Defence Service Medal for Distinguished Service.

        ii) President's Civil Defence Service Medal for Meritorious Service.

The above mentioned medals are awarded to personnel and volunteers working in the Civil Defence Department and Fire Services.

DGCD's Commendation Certificate & Disc:-

       D.G.C.D.'s proposal/recommendation for commendation certificate and disc is initiated from Deputy Controller level and is sent to Director Civil Defence Department through Controller (District Collector), Civil Defence. Thereafter, the proposal is sent from Director Civil Defence Department level to Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.
