          On January 28, 2026, around 10:30 pm, information was received about a Person jumped into the water near the Solar Observatory jetty at Fateh Sagar Lake, Udaipur. Upon receiving the information, the DQRT team immediately reached the spot. Due to darkness, the rescue operation could not be started immediately and began on Wednesday morning at 7:00 am. After continuous and intense efforts, the team recovered the body within two hours and handed it over to the district administration. The deceased was identified as Bharat Kharol (age 18), son of Chandra Kharol, resident of Kharol Colony, Fatehpura.

            In this rescue operation, Civil Defence volunteers and divers Vijay Nakwal, Bhawani Shankar, Vipul Chaudhary, Bane Singh Gurjar, Dinesh Gameti, Praveen Singh Rathore, along with  rescue workers Suresh Salvi, Mahendra Singh Masani, Mukesh Sen, Lal Singh Jhala etc. played significant role.
