On 22 May 2026, information was received regarding the drowning of two persons in a quarry located at the Arihant Crusher Plant in Umarda village under the Hiran Magri police station area of Udaipur. Upon receiving the information, the Civil Defence Udaipur team immediately reached the spot and started a rescue operation.
The Civil Defence team recovered the bodies of both deceased from the quarry and handed them over to Hiran Magri Police Station for necessary legal formalities. The deceased were identified as Omkar, son of Mr. Nathulal, aged 13 years, and Kundan, son of Mr. Nanalal, aged 15 years, residents of Umarda village.
The rescue operation was successfully carried out by Civil Defence Udaipur team divers Vijay Nakwal, Ravi Sharma, Bhawani Shankar Valmiki, boat operator Kailash Menaria, and vehicle driver Prakash Rathore.
